After a well deserved long summer break, Danza Catartica returns for a very special first party to launch its Second Season at D2 in Aberdeen.. The founder, Cornetta, is overly excited to invite Sofia Elettra for the first time and share the decks with her. This collaboration has been brewing for such a long time and we are super happy to finally materialise this idea of joining forces. Both DJs will deliver four hours of the best selection across UK Bass, Jungle, Dubstep and Dub alternating between digital and vinyl. Sofia has cut her teeth over many years spent in the London underground scene and involvement with establishments such as Brixton Radio, Mode London and Deep Medi. The dubstep scene in London has highly influenced her taste and selection. She is returning to her native Aberdeen to deliver only the best to the D2 crowd. Cornetta, for this party, will narrow down the genres of her wax selection and will stick to sonorities that are heavily influenced by sound system culture, although experimentalism and contorted rhythmics will always remain a crucial part of the wizardry on vinyl. Cornetta and Sofia Elettra are truly excited to lead this very special party, as this partnership and collaboration has been growing behind the scenes for a very long time. Danza Catartica from now on, will continue with a much reduced frequency over time in Aberdeen, therefore these parties would be worth to seize until they are still continuing, for the time being.
