Troppo Daffydrum and bass artist
Adapting the name of his favorite cartoon character (with a hint of Ozzie slang), London-bred selector Troppo Daffy manifests his love for all things music through his vibrant DJ sets and his fun-loving attitude. Having played at various events and venues for over 5 years, his sound has a wide spectrum bridging the gap between genres and generations providing an authentic but eclectic feel. Troppo’s musical taste stems from but not limited to Funk, Disco, House, Jazz-Funk, Neo Soul, and Hip-Hop (James Brown, Kool & The Gang, The Jacksons, Aretha Franklin, Nas, J Dilla, Missy Elliott, A Tribe Called Quest, 80's Synth Wave, Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler, Louie Vega, Crystal Waters). If there is a groove, Troppo's explorative nature and humble spirit will guide him to it, as he’s always keen to explore and further develop. Outside of performing at venues & clubs around London for events such as "The 00 House Party" and "Catch a Groove", Troppo has also participated in DJ competitions (Semi-Finalist in Mixmaster DJ Competition 2020), as well as cultural projects involving streaming and fundraising ("Beats & Liquor" (2022). 24_4_24 (2020). You can catch Troppo every Sunday hosting his very own radio show, "Eclectify", from 3 pm – 5 pm on EXT Radio. Troppo's philosophy is all about positivity and good vibes, so don't be surprised to catch him getting down on the dance floor or inside the DJ area.
