Smudge is known for his genre-defying, marathon sets. With a passion for dynamics, jumping effortlessly from electronic and organic, hard and soft, light and dark, loud and quiet, Smudge’s sets always keep the crowd guessing… and dancing. Expect to hear the likes of – deep funk, afro/latin grooves, tearout soul, epic disco odysseys, heavy psychedelia, and electronic edits of all of the above. Catch him in a club or a forest and you'll hear some organic techno, indie dance, folkloric electro, Andean dub, and afro-house vibrations. Hailing from the West Midlands, Smudge spent seven years cutting his teeth running tropical and chillout club nights and parties all over London, working with outfits including Movimentos, Love Carnival, Total Refreshment Centre, and Flamingods. Searching for new musical frontiers, Smudge relocated to Vietnam, where he was known to be hard at work behind the scenes of Saigon nightlife, bringing music to dance floors wherever he could. One of Vietnam's key industry players, he was co-founder of Secret Weekend – a boutique festival based on soundsystem culture and immersive AV experience, Banana Hustle – Vietnam's premiere tropical party, founder of Hazy Lemons – a leftfield Sunday party and podcast, and booker and resident DJ at WAM Saigon – the city's top audiophile…
