On the festival scene from a young age, and growing up with a family who were breakdancing in ‘89 at the Hacienda where it all began, she has a deep love for the oldskool at the root of her sound. She started production in late 2018 and has had a notable release on Hardpoint Recordings, as well as funding from Youth Music to create an upcoming 4-track EP. Her love for all things underground has inspired the creation of Yard Party; an events brand with its own DIY stage putting on free events across Lancashire. Collaborations have included hosting a breakbeat and jungle stage at Darwen Live alongside the legendary Hardcore Uproar, and a day event with Burgerhain combing their love for techno and Yard Party's love for drum and bass. Smrka has performed at festivals such as Solfest and Knockengorrach as part of the Tarns Dub Stage. She is also a part of the Mandelik collective in Manchester, Polarity events in South Lake District, Lights Out in her hometown Blackpool, Mushdren Sounds in Rhyl, and Monument Hifi in Ulverston. She has plans to perform at more venues and make connections with true pioneers of the underground scene.
