Ovrtic is a London-based DJ and producer whose sound moves across UK garage, UK bass and leftfield club music, driven by swung, broken rhythms and woven with global influence. Vocal energy sits at the heart of his sound, shaping a dancefloor experience that balances movement and feeling. Debut releases are planned for early summer. A longtime listener of hip-hop, funk, soul and jazz, with training in piano and saxophone, his sound draws on the rhythmic looseness and vocal-led emotional expression of these styles. With travel playing an important role in his life, and a sense of identity across cultures shaped in part by his mixed heritage, he draws on a global palette of sounds, bringing this into a UK-rooted club context. Alongside DJ’ing and music production, he is active across grassroots spaces in East & South London, building and curating community-led nights through Cherry Jamz and Syncopate Sound, supporting emerging artists.
