Mala came to prominence as a founding member of DMZ, the crew behind some of modern bass music’s most influential dances and the most highly prized 12"s the movement has produced. Almost 20 years later, his ideas and creations continue to influence and shape contemporary electronic music, pushing it into new and uncharted spaces. In 2025, Mala’s 2006 track “Anti War Dub” was voted No. 2 in Resident Advisor’s Favourite Music of the Century. In a year that celebrated his early work, he also released “Militant Don” with Nigerian pidgin rap artist Magugu — his first single on DEEP MEDi MUSIK in over a decade. In 2026, Mala returns to the U.S. 🇺🇸 for the debut Longform Tour. Extended, uninterrupted sets that honour the roots of dubstep, sound-system culture, and its global evolution. See you in the dance!
