johan2k has been making music in one form or another since he was 7 - piano, guitar, French horn, tuba… you name it. Growing up in a musical family (his dad a guitarist, older brother a pianist and younger brother a rapper), music was just part of life, and he eventually found his way into production. After teaching himself production, mixing and mastering from scratch during a gap year, he began releasing his own tracks. Since then, he’s put out a diverse range of projects, from his debut album VIDEOGAMEMUSIC, to a dance EP (DLCs), a jungle album (JUNGLE FEVER), an entirely self-produced rap album (WHERE’S 2K?), and most recently a full length dance album (DANCE PACK 01). He is also a resident with Sibling Radio, broadcasting his show titled 2K’S ROOM every month. He’s played across the country from Newcastle to London, offering sets with a little something for everyone. At the heart of it, johan's music is more than sound - it’s a journey that brings people together and lets everyone share in the experience. Whether it's a small crowd in a bar, or main stage at a festival, johan carries the same passion and energy behind the decks every single time.
