Simon (Hughesee) discovered his passion for electronic music through tape exchanges and pirate radio in the early 90s, and after trying out DJing on a friend's setup in 1992, he managed to cobble together some equipment to practise the craft with any vinyl he could get his hands on. Mainly just being a bedroom DJ and occasional house party, it wasn't until the mid-90s that he first started going to free parties, and that led to him playing out at them regularly. Still having a strong passion for breakbeat Hardcore and Jungle way after the initial boom in the early 90s, he would make regular trips to London and scour Music and Video Exchange bargain basements for music from that era, for records that could be had for as little as 20p. With the inception of online radio stations such as Interface, he would regularly host shows and invite guests along, and through Interface Radio, he met Louise (Louise Plus One). Since 2011, he has co-promoted events with his partner Louise, showcasing the best from the golden era 88-95 of Hardcore, Jungle, Techno & Acid House; holding family-friendly all-dayers; club events; live streams; and prepared content for their YouTube channel to engage their followers. At some point in this timeline, there has been a huge revival of that sound with younger generations who were starting to look into early 90s music and making tracks themselves and becoming DJs.
