Toronto-based producer and DJ Gremlinz' journey into Drum & Bass began in the mid-90s when the raw energy and intricate rhythms of Jungle captivated him. Immersed in the culture, he quickly moved from collecting records to DJing and producing. After years of honing his craft, Gremlinz made his debut in 2004 with a track on Metalheadz’ MDZ04 LP, a significant milestone, especially considering his longstanding admiration for the label. Since then, Gremlinz has released music on a range of respected labels including Architecture Recordings, Renegade Hardware, 31 Records, Cylon, Rupture, AMAR, and Paradox Music. His versatility is evident in his broad range of output, from breakbeat-heavy tracks to atmospheric, dubby half-step grooves—always pushing the boundaries of Drum & Bass while staying true to his roots. As a DJ, Gremlinz brings a straightforward, no-frills approach to his sets, focusing on raw energy and subtle groove. His unique sound and style have earned him a loyal following worldwide, and his affiliation with Loxy & Ink’s HORSEMEN collective has further solidified his place among some of the genre's most forward-thinking artists. In 2015, Gremlinz co-founded UVB-76 Music alongside fellow producers Ruffhouse, a label committed to pushing the boundaries of bass music.
