South London's rising star Gabriella Bongo is emerging as a new force in the drum and bass scene with her unique fusion of liquid DnB, soul, and pop influences. Her sound—described simply as "catchy, melodic, meaningful"—transcends traditional genre boundaries while maintaining the core energy that makes drum and bass so compelling. Musical from a young age, Gabriella was first inspired by artists like Rudimental and Chase & Status. By age 9, she began experimenting with GarageBand on her iPad, discovering her passion for production and creating something from nothing. Self-taught on piano and production, Bongo's musical journey began with a deep emotional connection to music. Now studying sound engineering at ICMP London University, she brings both raw talent and technical expertise to her craft. Her production process is refreshingly intuitive, led by feeling, with a focus on authentic songwriting and chord progressions that serve as the foundation for her tracks. This approach reflects her early commitment—at just 15, she decided music would be her "end game" and dedicated herself to pursuing it.
