The Forward Sisters joined forces in 2022 to become a Berlin based duo of Dub Music lovers. They met at an FLINTA* open decks night in a record store. The Forward Sisters consist of Anni, known as "AnyDub" and Keshia aka "Sista Kesh I-a" . Anni is a Berlin native Selectress, specialized in various Dub Music, which she started collecting in 2017. Bavarian born Keshia started collecting and playing Reggae and Dub Music in 2021. The two passionate vinyl selectresses strive for a high concentration of Dub-Music. Both playing songs broaching the issues of social disparities and creating Irie vibes they love to share with all those listening. The focus of the Forward Sisters music selection is Dub Music with feminine vocals, melodical versions or in a heavy Stepper-Style, as well as playing songs of Modern Roots. Vinyl only. Since 2023 they have been organizing events themselves, with a focus on inviting various Sound Systems or supporting female DJs. So far, they played on sessions at various Clubs in Berlin - like Void, Badehaus, Yaam etc & at many alternative youth- and culture centers. Forward Sisters loves to travel and played at sessions further away, such as in Hamburg, Munich and much more, also beyond Germany in Switzerland or Poland. Their common goals for the future are to get more familiar with the technology behind Sound Systems and to spread Dub Music in the Berlin Club Culture. Thank you and much love!
