Croydon's Dubstep protégée and CRCH resident DJ, DFUSE has been on some journey. Since the early 2000’s, DFUSE has been surrounded by some of the pioneering figures and forefathers of the Dubstep scene, mentored by the likes of DJ Chefal, DJ N-Type, DJ Youngsta and MC Crazy D just to name a few, DFUSE has been around the Dubstep scene since its inception, hanging around Croydon’s seminal but now defunct record store Big Apple Records when he was still a young teenager, inspired by the growth of the early Dubstep scene, collecting prototype Dubstep records as an avid lover of the music, attending early FWD>> & DMZ event’s with many of his local friends who happened to be at the very forefront of the emerging Dubstep scene during the mid to late 2000’s. In 2006, DFUSE landed his first radio show on Mixing Radio, an online radio station that was based @ Mixing Records, the record shop that moved into the former premises of Big Apple Records based on Surrey Street in Croydon which was founded by former Uptown Records General Manager and pioneering Grime producer, J-Sweet, this would be the period where the rise of DFUSE started to take place, also making appearances on various online radio stations in South London such as Cyba FM & Currupt Radio, DFUSE would spend many hours hanging around Mixing Records, meeting other like minded DJ’s and Producers from both the Dubstep & Grime scenes of the time.
